Okay first of all, going anon to make this complaint accomplishes nothing but turns it into a public spectacle for the mods while leaving yourself unscathed, so this comment is merely to draw attention to that fact and bring us to a level playing field, as it were.
Second, i just read through the thread you linked and all i saw was sousake starting to attack / harrass people because he disagreed with Doc lee on something and it spiralled from there because Usui joined in and kept continuing it.
Or they both kept continuing it, i honestly got confused a bit since their anime images seem to be from the same show while their speech patterns were also similar and my usual method of following the reply chain was rendered impotent.
Maybe if paid more attention to them both i'd be able to pick them out easier, but eh.
The reason why sousake got banned? He flat out admitted to purposely breaking one of our rules after a mod directly asked if he was doing it.>Stalking, harassment, or posting of others' personal information are prohibited.
Mods usually stay out
of inter-user arguments if both or all parties are giving as good as their getting, which was the situation until earlier.
The other alternative is to ban everyone involved.
There's a reason we always tell people to Filter, Ignore and Report instead of retaliating, it makes the situation extremely easy to resolve and not drag out for several hours.
We've also had situations in the past where the person being 'harrassed' ask us why the hell we banned their friend.
Third, do you even know how long that ban was?
The ban was over roughly 15 minutes after you posted this and was more of a slap on the wrist than anything else.
Fourth, i dont know who you sent an email to but i didnt get it, macil hasnt been on so i dont know if he got it either.
Fifth, He mentioned he was an admin in response to sousake saying this.
>I would've thought my presence as a poster from practically the beginning of this site would give me some sort of notoriety but that was apparently completely wrong.
>I honestly thought that being admin would have given me some noteriety on this site, but I don't particularly care.
Hardly overstating his position since it's been common knowledge that he's a regular mod since the site merge and also states his position on the home page if one were to look.
Finally, i will say that the one thing he did wrong was not using his mod tag in the post preceding or following the ban, which i have told him about.>>2360
Calmly button it, admiral was in the right here and i'll ask you to stop insulting him.
While i was the most 'visible' admin during that period, admiral still did plenty both in discussions and on site.
