"becoming more concentrated."
yeah, eventually it'll just be a handful of friends talking about their days on one board or one thread, but that's most any platform when the original attraction isn't massively popular. as long as the remainder controls its own destiny, and is managed by people who still come here, still care, and still want to maintain the 6+ year legacy, it serves its purpose. its purpose being the remaining people.
at this point its not so much 'wont be new people' as 'how do we entice people who dont post anymore/much anymore to engage again'.
anyway, a site cant last forever, but a collective can, and the longer we can keep this place alive, the more connections can keep being made. ive talked to people i dont usually talk to, engaged more people offsite than i usually do, made more friends. my contacts list might not be as big as in the heyday, but its more people i would regularly want to talk to, and try to do so now, on discord/steam/etc. i gain more connections/deepen existing ones with time. even as one door closes, others open, and my personal collective feels great.
yeah, maybe at some point there'll be unification again, with other sites. i dunno about that. id try. but anyways, all we can do is keep on keepin' on.
