I'm gonna be addressing recent issues and things that are going to be changing over the next week or so.
>The State of /pony/ /oat/ and /chat/
As was discussed in depth in the sticky there's some crossover here that could be better defined, after some discussion with the user base we came to some measure of an agreement on a definition for these boards, some concerns were raised however about community feelings about those changes.
I'm gonna outline the changes here, and over the course of the next week there will be discussion threads stickied at the top of the corresponding boards to make sure we get community input from people that might not check /site/
/pony/ - For all content related to the show.
/oat/ - All content not covered by /pony/ /chat/ and /rp/. Stricter standards of civility here then /chat/
/chat/ - Mature content, themes and political topics. More chan culture, less moderation.
The discussion threads for /oat/ and /pony/ will be going up shortly. /Chat/ won't have one, as there's no real change going on there and Fen handled that nearly a month in another thread on the board.
>Absence of admins and lack of responses.
This will be changing as of before this post, I've had my work schedule changed to allow for a more accommodating amount of time to be here and available.
There's no longer any reason to not be available when any issue can be solved almost immediately now.
>Staff Standards and the Appeals process.
The standards for staff members will be updated in an official capacity soon of whats expected of us and how we convey ourselves as the site staff.
In line with that, we have an update to the appeals process right here.
User appeals for bans exceeding 24 hours will now be handled by committee of two moderators chosen by first availability, with the admin acting as tiebreaker.
Any moderator may also call for a review of any moderator action they feel requires it of their own accord, again handled by two moderators and an admin.
In both appeals and reviews the moderator who took the action will be consulted but not be placed on the committee.
We've received complaints about a lack of staff members, so at this point we're taking serious suggestions for new staff members or people that would like to volunteer.
