This title harks back to the Sherlock Holmes story "The Final Problem," in which Conan Doyle did his best to kill off the detective he had grown tired of by dropping him over a waterfall in Switzerland, locked in mortal combat with his archenemy Professor Moriarty.
It didn't work. He had to bring Holmes back and write more stories. Holmes is a legendary figure, a mythological character, an immortal trope. People all over the world are still writing new books, TV series, and screenplays about Holmes. He will never die.
It won't work here, either. ♫ Remembered forever, the land of Equestria... ♫
