Going to be honest, I was greatly let down by this one.
I was hesitantly hopeful for this one as the last couple of maud episodes have been decent. However this was just... bleh.
This honestly felt like I was watching an episode of Big bang theory, as mudbriar reminds me of a pony sheldon, with his mannerisms-- I fucking HATE big bang theory. Everytime Mudbriar said "Actually" i wanted to hit him with a stick, and found his "THAT'S STICK ABUSE" line more infuriating than funny.
That being said, once we got to the farm with Limestone and Marble it went from shit to pure 10/10-- Limestone was INCREDIBLE and really makes me want an episode all about her or marble instead. Limestone's Joisy' style accent and mannerisms, as well as her having some REAL legitimate wisdom for pinkie was good. Plus her "I'm not jealous!" line was gold.
4/10, with it basically being a 3/10 with 10/10 section near the end.>>36828389
I actually like timber spruce, if only because he and Sci-twi seem like a good couple. They're both pretty nerdy, and seem like they fit together organically.>>36828387>>36828388
Flash looks to be getting shipped back with sunset anyways.>>36828376>>36828379
Looks like we're on two different spectrums here on this one :/>>36828378
That was actually the one scene with Mudbriar that I actually LIKED.
Since they'd taken great pains earlier on to have Mudbriar establish that he puts alot of different emphasis on whether he says "goodbye" or "see you later", him saying "See you later" to pinkie instead of "goodby" was a great way to show that he LEGITIMATELY wanted to have a good relation with pinkie since he wanted to see her again later.
If they bring in Mudbriar again in another maud episode, I really hope they tone back his more annoying traits, as he's about as likeable as Zephyr to me right now. More scenes where he seems to be trying to connect with others.
