Just saw this episode. It was pretty awesome.
The Great and Powerful Trixie doesn't chant. ♥
Every time Trixie said something about her wagon, I wanted it to flash cut to the Ursa Major stomping on her old one, again, and again, and again. Every sentence. Wham. "It is shelter." Wham. " It is transportation." Wham. "It is my only friend on the lo" Wham "ng and lonely" Wham "nights on the road." ... ... Wham. Wham. Wham.
Seeing Starlight Glimmer returning to her old pattern of simultaneously well intended and despicably evil was interesting. I don't think I've ever met a more endearing and sympathetic psychopath in fiction or reality.
SHES NOT YOUR BUDDY GUY
I felt a strange mix of sympathy and envy for Starlight, when heart songs had actual plot significance, and she even was confronted by it, without being able to understand how she didn't notice the fire swamp before, when travelling together with her friend. Equestria truly must be a strange and wonderful place to live in.
