Hello Nurse got a very bad rap because a lot of people didn't understand the point of the character.
A lot of people just saw the character as sexual exploitation but the thing is if you actually pay attention, Hello Nurse is by far one of the most intelligent and capable characters in the entire show.
She canonically has an IQ of 192, and holds 7 PhD's, can speak fluent Japanese and Chinese and has won various prestigious awards.
The idea behind the character, at least from my point of view, is that being smart and being sexy don't have to be mutually exclusive, and you can respect someone for their ability while also appreciating their attractiveness.
Overall she's actually a very positive and progressive character, but that is often overlooked simply because the Warner Bros. are horndogs and the primary thing she's known for is just being a cookie cutter bimbo for them to fawn over, which simply isn't true.
There are very few characters that work this way, one of the few being Rarity from MLP as well.
Usually the stereotype you see in most cartoons and movies is that the more attractive you are, the more horrible of a person you are, and characters like Hello Nurse and Rarity break that mold. Unfortunately most people only look at the surface level and play into these stereotypes so they will try to cancel these types of characters. The worst part is that the main groups that would protest and complain about a character like Hello Nurse are feminists groups that don't understand what she's meant to represent.
