Stargenders are unironically about people identifying as spacial objects, like literally.
Identifying one's gender as a star. Subgenders also exist. For example, a person might identify emself as a blue star, therefore being an O-stargender or B-stargender. If ey identify as a star radiating longer wavelengths, A-stargender, F-stargender or G-stargender are more accurate terms. In addition, a starperson might self-identify as a binary or multiple star system. Fore example, a person self-identified as a binary yellow-orange system with a lonely red dwarf is a GKM-stargender, like the Alpha Centauri system. Under this definition this is a otherkin indenity not a gender one.
The second is “an other-worldly/non-human gender” which is likened to being beyond comprehension.
The third is “no matter how many genders are discovered/coined, none would match for the person.”
If I enter a Scientology thread I’m not going to go along with their weird cult-like shit and actively agree with them. Although this is worse, because one of the main arguments that transphobes use is to point at people like Stargenders and those who approve of them and equivocate that with actual trans people.
I don’t get non-binary stuff, but I’m willing to accept that and show respect, but when it comes to unironically identifying as the planet Pluto (yes I’m aware that Pluto isn’t technically a planet) I’m writing you off as fucking crazy, and anyone’s who defends you as a delusional cultist.
Again, my main problem is that this actually affects trans rights and how people view trans people. If these people wanted to be like otherkin and start their own weird thing I’d have no problem with it, but they’re attaching themselves to a community that deals with genuine and extremely severe problems just from being who they are, a community that’s went through constant oppression, and they’re just kind of piggybacking off of that.
They delegitimise actual oppression and trans people, and propagate harmful stereotypes about trans people that set the whole community back and put actual trans people in danger.
Be a fucking Stargender if you want, but compare yourself to others who have to go through genuine shit, especially if you’re one of the main people holding them back.
I can’t support that, and I think the people that do are naive and childish at best, and actively destructive towards trans rights at first. Like if you actually try to claim that Stargenders are valid you’ve lost my respect for several reasons, and it’s going to make it genuinely hard for me to take you seriously regarding any other subject.
Non-binary, fine, genderless, fine, I don’t agree but fine I’ll respect and accept you out of agnosticism. Stargender, fuck off!
Keep in mind that I was a lot more respectful there than I am being here, I was just asking questions.
