>more like "improved on multiple levels"
Literally only the combat system and graphics are "improved."
Everything else is too different to consider an "improvement" while there are numerous points of degradation.
>you have to be utterly blinded by nostalgia to think Morrowind is better
Or, you know, have good taste.
> but at least it has better music, graphics, mechanics,
Music is laughable. Morrowind has an infinitely superior soundtrack.
Meaningless when it comes to quality of the actual game, and mods bring Morrowind squarely up to Oblivion if not surpassing it.
Like what? Combat? The combat in Morrowind is perfectly adequate, if weird. It's trivial compared to everywhere the game excels.
>Oblivion/Skyrim had objective improvements to almost...everything
And major reductions in the quality of storytelling, memorability, or being quality RPGs in general.
If you just want an easymode action RPG that's fine, but don't sit here and try to tell me that trivial things like graphics and combat mechanics make Oblivion or Skyrim better RPGs than Morrowind.
>>inb4 that 4chan post thing going on about three less armor types in Skyrim or something
And fewer weapons, and fewer spells, and less depth in general. Hence why it is "dumbed down."
The accessibility is the ONLY legitimate thing Skyrim and Oblivion might have on Morrowind, getting people to initially get interested. But Morrowind is the better RPG in every way that matters.>>42120838
It's at least a 7/10.
