I was never really a fan of the Windows scheduler to begin with.
For me it's just compiling and some specialized workloads.
In regards to the scaling, the 3990X has a much lower baseclock 2.9GHz than the 3970X 3.7GHz, of which both CPUs are the same TDP.
With ridiculous levels of cooling, one could maybe achieve the full turbo of 4.3GHz on the 64 core beast so it might not be all bad in the right scenarios.>>42121133
For emulation this may be the best bet, however as more games start to use more threads, we gotta be careful that LLVMpipe doesn't steal too much of the CPU time away x3>>42121139
