To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Max Stirner. The insight is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of the ego most of the jokes will go over a typical recipients head. There's also Max's egoistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterization - his political philosophy draws exclusively from literature, Bruno Bauer for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these ramblings, to realize that they're not just funny- they say something deep about SPOOKS. As a consequence, people who dislike Max Stirner truly ARE nerds- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the genius in Max's existential catchphrase "Nice spooks nerd AHAHAHA!" which itself is a cryptic reference to The Ego and Its Own. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those spooked nerds scratching their heads in confusion as Stirner's genius unfolds itself on their computer screens. What fools... how I pity them. And yes by the way, I DO have a Max Stirner tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the unique's eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're despooked and willing to enter a union of egoists.
