I'm sick of seeing sunshine and not seeing sunshine. I wanna stop waking up.

Yes. Usually in August.

You could move up north. Generally during winter the sun goes away for weeks at a time.

I think its probably normal, any time we have the exact same weather here for more than a week I get sick of it. Sunshine, cloudy, rainy, snowing, whatever.

Part of whats nice about New England, if there's one thing you can depend on to be changing a lot/unpredictable its the weather. This is the warmest winter we've had in fucking forever and I love it.

it was snowing a bit earlier, but I think it has just been mostly grey the last few days. Looks like its gonna get colder tomorrow, too, dropping below 30.

I would still like to meet you, and probably MK17 too. I was pretty bummed when I realized it wouldn't be possible when I went down to Florida last year, however I may be going back to Florida later this year or in 2020 and by then I will most likely have my driver's license.

I'm not bothered by sunshine. What I hate about sunny days is the heat. Especially when it leads to a heatwave that lasts for about a month.

I have to resort to having my windows wide open which flies find as an invitation to come in and buzz around my room.

Winter here is cold as heck but I'd much rather be freezing than melting.

My favourite weather is autumns sunny days, or "hoodie weather" as I call it.

AnonymousCountry code: blank.gif, country type: ponyflag, valid: 1 42074326

Since I moved in, I've had warped and curved shingles and knew that it was only a matter of time I would need to redo the roof.

Seriously looking at metal "cool roofs" since they keep cool in summer and last for far longer than even the best shingles, and make it easier to install solar panels later on if I choose. But they might be counterproductive here in winter. At the least, I'd probably have to ask about some insulation at the bottom of the void space to keep heat from leaking in winter.

The truth is UK consist of the worlds finest moaners.

When it's cloudy, we complain how cold it is.
When it rains, we complain about how it poors.
When it's sunny, we complain about how bright and hot it is.

I believe it is our reputation of being moaners which is why people think UK is such a dreary place.

Every day has been below freezing for a while and the snow here doesn't melt for a month. I want more sunshine, I'm tired of my shoes being wet because they plow the snow from the road to the sidewalk.

Yeah, but fuck that humidity. It's the same climate as Louisiana and I didn't know how sweat was supposed to work until I moved. Seriously, I thought it was normal to be covered in oil and stuck to all your clothes in the summer, when I felt steam coming from my armpits up here I got confused.

I remember the rare times when it would get below freezing overnight and everyone would lose their shit because they saw a little bit of ice on a puddle and tried to stand on it. I saw snow once there but it melted the moment it hit the sidewalk. The dry cold is better, I'm in Colorado now and I had to unzip my jacket in the mid 30s because the water in the air wasn't sapping all the heat from my body and walking warmed me up enough to start sweating.

it sucks living here tbh

i wanna move to a state somewhere up north

Colorado's pretty nice, minimum wage is 11.10/hr right now and goign to 12/hr next year. The summer can get pretty hot, the winters are cold as hell, but it's nice having more than one season. And even if legal weed doesn't appeal to you alcohol sales dropped when people just started smoking, and I'd prefer stoners over drunks any day.

colorado seems cool for the most part

the minimum wage part is meh to me tbh

it doesnt mean much when the cost of living is so high

i need something that pays beyond that in order to be livable

a state that will pretty much leave me alone and let me keep most of the money i make

and its pretty damn prosperous

I wish our minimum wage was goin' up because it might boost my wages a bit, but the damned Progressive Conservatives fuckin' nixxed that right off the bush soon as they could. We're stuck at $14/hr until 2020 or we finally get pissed enough to push Doug Ford into the gutter where he fuckin' belongs.

I'm currently making 14/hr working at the DoR through a temp agency, and if I get fully hired on (which isn't much of an if since most of my coworkers are ancient) I'll be getting around 18/hr. There's so many jobs here that if you have any work experience that shows basic competence you're pretty much set. If you're competent at formatting things in word and using excel then you can pick up an admin assistant job pretty easily.

The bus system isn't bad here, every major street has a bus that generally runs every 15 or 30 minutes, but I do need to get a vehicle at some point. The main issue is that I've never driven in the snow before so I'm a bit hesitant to drive myself. It's a bit pricey but if you manage your time right it's better than the combination of gas/insurance/car note

Where I grew up we had one bus. It went to another city to bring people to work. It left once in the morning and showed up again at night.
