Walking thread Chewy!!Twilight Sparkle No.42073337
tl;dr: How many of you here take walks outside regularly? Let's talk about the activity/hobby of walking.
I have been taking daily walks since early November last year and I have started to really love it. Sometimes I just do a short 10-minute walk around my immediate neighborhood, sometimes I walk downtown to get coffee and/or food, sometimes I push myself to go much further distances and into neighborhoods I'm not familiar with, and a few times I have even taken walks in an entirely different town.
I walk even when its really cold, or grey, or raining, and today it even started snowing/hailing while I was walking, but it wasn't too bad. I'm still kind of amazed that I have been able to do this and am continuing to do this, because for so long I engaged in basically zero physical activity at all. I was (and to an extent still am) basically a couch potato. I also eat pretty poorly, although in recent years I have incorporated a lot of fruit into my diet, which I'm hoping helps at least a little.
This is one of those examples of something I never really thought I'd be able to do, but now here I am consistently doing it, and furthermore enjoying it, like I said every single day. It feels really good and I think it happened because I basically just reached a point where I realized "I need to do more, I need to do this" and I truly set my mind to it and just did it.
