I always thought naming storms after people was kind of weird in the first place.
I get its for record keeping, but its just weird.
Like, its not a people, its a storm. We dont name towns "Jeff" qnd we dont name people "New Britain" (i mean in general) so why cant storms have storm names?
They started naming Nor'easters up here the past couple of years, and i think its just a way for the news to make it bigger than it is.
Use to be like "oh, there may be a nor'easter on thursday" to "EXTRA-TROPICAL CYCLONE ANDY IS COMING TO KILL US ALL!" haha.
And honestly, it was never a big deal, we were always prepared because, ya know, we live here haha, but after they started doing that, people run gas stations dry and panic buy all the bread and milk, and then it like... Oh no... Some snow... haha.
Its really annoying if you just happen to need gas or bread that day. "Bread & Milk" -THE ORIGINAL VIDEO- vicdibitetto.net
