I'm kinda doubtful that my psychiatrist's office or insurance company would disclose my HIPAA-covered mental-health records.
I think it's also usually illegal
for an employer with 15+ employees to discriminate on the basis of mental health, with certain exceptions. I'm sure there's shady employers who discriminate any way, but I kinda doubt that government does, especially for cleared positions, where mentally unfit candidates would be weeded out by the background investigation (which is exempt from those laws).
But anyway, going back to >>529407
, which started this subthread, I don't think you even need or would benefit from formal mental-health treatment (unless that anon knows something that I don't), so it's kinda moot w.r.t. you personally.
