in case nobody has heard this is a bill that will provide for the licensing of firearm and ammunition possession and the registration of firearms, and to prohibit the possession of certain ammunition.

are constitutional rights just outright being ignored at this point for the guise of safety?

and someone please explain how this is to going to fix a damn thing?

No, they don't think it's wrong. They think this is just politics and completely fine. I mean the constitution just provides that we have the right to firearms, not to all the firearms available to us, right? So who cares because they're within their power to regulate us to their hearts content, and these people control the Government. So they have the mandate to pass such regulations.

Literally who cares, Mikie? Everything they're doing is constitutional until our legislator decides to write legislation that says otherwise. We should just move on.

At least we will have Biden as president now that will be Obama 2.0 and pass less regulatory legislation than Trump, right?

>>471703
You mentioned red flag laws twice there, I'm pretty sure. Since that initial statement had to do with the Red Flag Laws you're complaining about. Remind me, did he actually propose any legislation to the house or Senate in that regard or was it just a bunch of talk to try and calm things down following the massive shootings during his presidency? I don't recall there actually being any proposed legislation. You know I also recall you hammering him for the fact that he was a bad President that failed to try and cool tensions, but I guess this just isn't the way you wanted him to be conciliatory on.

My arguments about Trump vs Biden was very simply taking them both at their words. Trump wanted to stay away from regulation, and Biden wanted to ban everything including all online sales. You and your little catch phrase ignored all context behind both Obama's and Trump's presidencies and instead focused on something irrelevant to the conversations being had as if to say that Biden wasn't something to be worried about.
Well keep repeating it while the Dems pass the legislation through Congress and Biden signs this sort of stuff into law. Lol

I hope the Supreme Court steps in, but I'm sure they'd be worried about being cucked out of existence. Oh well.

Yes he was pro-2nd Amendment during his 2016 run, and if I recall he pushed for the same policies during his presidency that he pushed for during the campaign. Notably trying to get rid of gun free zones and speaking openly about possibly arming teachers at schools.

I'm not happy about his support - albeit short - support of Red Flag Laws as much as anyone else, but let's not pretend like they didn't fool plenty of other people that would otherwise be pro-2nd Amendment.
And as for bumb stocks bans, yes it's lame. But it's also something that was relatively unpopular and even unwanted by the gun community at large. I'm not defending either of his actions that you keep bringing up, but I feel like you're blowing it out of proportion.

>Biden is at least honest about it

Oh is that really where you're defending him? Yeah, I'll give him credit to the fact that he was at least directly honest about wanting to severely limit my rights. I guess that makes him a net-positive all things considered. Totally going to be so much happier with the fact hat he's going to sign into law things like the a new AWB because he at least gave me a warning.
I guess we can all hold hands and celebrate the incoming legislation then. Thanks for putting that into perspective for me, Mikie.

One of the realistic failings of any effort to use draconian law to change gun ownership laws is the simple fact that there are too many guns to confiscate. You will never recover the bulk of the ones in private hands today.

Some states will react with pro 2nd Amendment legistlation that will prevent Federal authority from taking action against private ownership in their states. This has already happened in a few states and will spread should any bills become law.

Given that the Supreme Court has already stated that individuals can own weapons for self defense, they would be foolish to undo their stand. Shall not be infringed isn't a meme. It's written in the Second Amendment and is law. Any form of licensing would be infringement as well as the predicted costs involved in such registration processes. Biden's hope to make the status of semi-automatic pistols change to that of fully automatic weapons with a $200 tax stamp for the pistol and each high capacity magazine (high capacity as defined as above 8 rounds as it is in California and other states) would also require a tax stamp as well as physical serial numbers stamped on each magazine.

My belief is that the court will not touch Biden's anti-gun legislation. Furthermore, I doubt there are enough Democrats in the Senate and House that would have the stomach to vote on such legislation. They see how thin the ice they're standing on and no amount of cheer leading from the leadership will change this.

The narrative of Democratic majorities in Congress is falling apart every day. Democrats are walking away from party leadership and, in some cases, flipping Red by changing their party affiliation. All it will take is for three more Senators to switch party affiliation. No more Senate. The same may quietly happen in the House in the coming months.

Respectfully, what are your thoughts on the lower courts allowing weapons bans and the like passing in the name of public good? If I recall there were a number of cases that allowed bans and regulations following the Heller case.

You want to elaborate on this?

You see it on youtube from both sides all the time.
>How do you feel about this Bernie qoute
<I consider myself a pretty big supporter with him so I totally see where he's coming from. That guy is just trying to stand up for the people.
>How would you feel if I told you this was Trump?
<Oh... well that changes things a bit and uh you know it's the same words but I just don't like it anymore.

It's funny the first few times, but all it shows is how people just digest what they're told completely uncritically by those they profess to support and vice versa.

True, I suppose

Doesn't help that out-of-context quotes don't really mean a whole lot on their own anyway. Too much bias, meaning can becoming whatever the reader wants, what the views of the actual speaker of the quote actually are, etc

Random quotes are as useful as astrology half the time, tbh.

If the trend of the last 30 years continues, more people will have the opportunity to carry a firearm, and states with a limited magazine capacity will start to fall.

This shit gets proposed every single year for decades, back to the 80s, and always will, and people act like its new.
Yeah, biden is pearl clutching his bill from the 1990s, but there are enough pro-gun dems that they wouldnt vote for something en masse that is so over reaching i dont think. Might be wrong, but i doubt it, esp now. The past decade has been big for firearms, like huge, like... the argument has been had non-stop, people exposure has been more accessible, ownership regardless of political affiliation has skyrocketed, and i think, regardless of the NRA fear mongering, the "culture war" is tilted heavily in favor of firearms rights.

The actual realistic debate isnt over whether or not people should be able to own and carry firearms, but more about magazine capacity and where should be off limits to carry.

Its like abortion, its cemented, its the law of the land, but people still want to tweak it and they have the right to the debate. But, also like abortion, the news and the politicians know it strikes a huge nerve and gets hyperbole'd to death.

Obv there is an eb to this, in that, your local government might be doing something more drastic, but i think nationally not much will happen, and if it does, esp right now out of the gate, well, it would spark off a powder keg on both the left, and the right, and then it wouldnt matter regardless.

The only way i can see something really getting through, would be by executive order, which, isnt off the table. Of course, this is all just speculation, idk what tf is going on behind closed doors. There would be wide spread non compliance though.

A piece of me kind of wants it to happen to force the hand of SCOTUS once its on the federal level, because they have no interest in helping people in individual states, and there would be a HUGE outcry. But at the same time, i dont want it to happen haha.

Sorry for the delay. I got my 11883 PelosiPesos by Visa debit card this afternoon and did as I was ordered: went out and bought shit locally.

How do I feel about local gun control measures? I can only speak to my own former state of California and say I did not enjoy the illusion of safety their laws imposed. As I stated before, there were and will remain tens of thousands of guns that cannot be sold privately or sold back to dealers due to hi cap magazines or other scary features. They're all pretty much hidden by those who know what a shit storm it would create if the ATF got serious and started raids.

It is an illusion to believe that gun control will achieve any increased level of safety. Legal actions in courts are powerless in regards to existing guns in the hands of the public, especially older guns purchased in the mid 20th Century before registration programs happened.

As for the flipping of the Senate, I don't have the names of the first two Democratic Senators at hand. Just do a keyword search in your search engine of your choice for Democratic Senator changing party and you should get a few news stories about the two who have changed the past two months, one changing just last week. I believe there will be more flips, but that's just a gut instinct.

Here's a fun drinking game: Go on twitter and look at anyone who posts anything actively pro-Trump. Then go to their profile and take a shot if you see the word 'God', 'Jesus' or 'Lord' anywhere in the profile.

And yes, while I know simply being a christian trump supporter doesn't mean you think he was chosen by god, about 1 out of every 8 of these people were saying something along those lines. I.E. "Trump is doing the Lord's work." or "God has chosen Trump." etc.

Doing the Lord's work doesn't mean that he was necessarily chosen by God either. It's literally a throw away statement by a lot of Christians nowadays that amounts to "He/She is doing the right thing".

>Twitter is a toxic cesspool and people are better off the less """engagement""" they have with it.
This is only really the political side of Twitter to be honest. And this is coming from someone who thought the same thing for the longest time because I refused to get one for a while. But once I stopped paying attention to the politics I was able to actually have quite a bit of fun and engaging conversations with people. I now never tweet anything political and I rarely ever read anything political on Twitter.

And it's become surprisingly more easy to do that now that Trump is banned from Twitter, because all of his ridiculous cult members seem to have left.

Previously if you searched for anything related to Trump on twitter you'd have thousands of comments, mostly his supporters talking about crazy liberal conspiracy theories, or threatening the wrath of god on those who didn't support trump.

Now, most of these posts only get like 10 or so replies, it's actually rather shocking.

Wouldn't that basically be the same thing as taking the lord's name in vain? I thought that was a sin. I thought you weren't allowed to invoke the name of god unless you were incredibly serious about something.

If you're looking for me to admit that Christians are imperfect people that fail to live to high standards, the answer is an obvious yes. Actually I was asking genuinely because I'm not very well versed in how christian doctrine is considered, so I figured you had more knowledge on the subject.

That wasn't me taking a jab, it was me actually being genuinely curious about whether it worked that way or not. I wasn't looking to argue a point, I was looking for clarification. Sorry if it didn't come across that way. I tend to look at things from an analytical perspective, so I was working off the working definition of 'in vain' to mean 'anything superfluous.'

I'll be honest with you. I've never put any thought into it. Saying someone is doing the Lord's Work or God's Work is literally something I've heard thrown around by so many for so long that I've essentially become deaf to it unless it's being said in some sort of sermon.
In common usage I'm sure it could just be summarized as you think someone is doing the right thing or a good thing. Usually without some form of payment for the action. Thus it's an act of goodwill or a godly act.
I imagine that if you're looking at this from a Christian perspective then the phrase would dictate that you're literally fulfilling the will of God through your actions, thus doing his work on Earth. Obviously, as a Christian you should be aware of the implications behind saying that and attributing God's Work to a particular politician - especially if the politician is himself not a Godly Man.
So the real answer I can give you off the top of my head without doing any research into it would probably be: maybe depending on the context. I don't think it would be blatantly done with the intent of using the Lord's name in vain, but I can see the perspective behind those that would assert that it is. Though I'm not an authority and so I'm literally spit balling here to you since it seemed like you're asking sincerely.

Alright. I just wasn't sure how that actually worked. I've known some very heavy Christians that get upset if you say stuff like 'goddamnit', so I know that they take the idea of 'taking the lord's name in vain' as a quite serious offense. I just found it odd that calling the term a 'throwaway line' would fall within the idea of taking it in vain, from a logical standpoint, but again, you're more versed in the actual practice so I defer to you in this regard. I was just a bit confused since many devout Christians seem to get very upset when using the lord's name in a 'throwaway' manner.

I guess though, if that was more just you trying to express that it's used so often it's more of just a figure of speech at this point instead of a direct statement, that makes sense.

Thanks.

Taking the Lord's Name in Vain is a fairly serious and concerning action, but it's my assumption that's it's not done with intent most of the time.
When taking the Lord's Name in Vain you're actually committing Blasphemy against the Lord, if that adds any context to the situation. You're not just simply invoking his name, but you're invoking his name to either commit sin or attribute sin to the Lord. I might be missing something so forgive me if I am.
So hypothetically I don't think saying that Trump - for the sake of the hypothetical - is doing God's Work would necessarily be taking the Lord's name in vain, especially if it's in regards to a particular action that Trump might've been doing at the time. I think it matters more around the context and if the intent of the person using the phrase.

I'm speaking about this from my non-denominational perspective though, and I've sure you'll hear plenty of different answers depending on the specific branch of Christianity you're dealing with.
This is admittedly not a topic I've concerned myself with to a significant degree.

I'll be honest, I find the concept of sin - and what are sins - interesting but I don't really base my faith around that. As a Christian I understand that I'm already burdened with the original sin, but thankfully I have been redeemed through Christ. With that I focus more on trying to commit to works and living a dedicated life towards being more Christlike. I'm pretty much a failure at that, but I can keep trying.

Do they though? I see a lot of mealy-mouthed talk about common sense solutions, which is liberal speak for some kind of watered down compromise stop-gap measure that will tweak some legislation around and have some concessions to the Right thrown in.

But by and large talk of "gun grabbing" just seems alarmist to me. Especially in a country as big as this, where no one has come close to completely stamping out easy access to firearms. Even when certain localities clamp down, there are other localities that remain largely unaffected.

Isn't the ATF in the process of changing how they define and consider what is or isn't an AR Pistol vs a SBR?

Like some of the changes that has been circulating around might literally make millions of guns illegal retroactively. So I don't understand what you mean when you say "the fed is not going to manufacture millions of criminals".

my argument is that what we're fearmongering about for a decade and a half isn't logistically or realistically feasible and won't happen

and at most people will get grandfathered in, millions will not become criminals overnight - think critically about the logistics of a nationwide gun grab here... its not gonna happen

There will always be advocates for gun control. As long as subjecting kids to active shooter drills with cops firing blanks (and occasionally live rounds on accident) is a *standard* there is going to be some big pushback in the form of push for gun control esp. from pissed teachers and parents of traumatized kids. And survivors of all those 'false flag' school shootups. Think about it. They are not going away as long as the problems that prompt them to push for control impact them directly.

ok well let me give some of you the benefit of the doubt here, lets say you're right : soon the fed will be busting down doors left and right looking for guns, completely infringing on people's domiciles and private property, looking for the possibility of guns they don't know are there and this totally isn't a bad idea that would get hundreds or thousands killed and they totally have hundreds of thousands to millions of federal goons to do this with nationwide. All the crying wolf for a decade and a half and probably longer, it actually happens... and I get to eat my words

well why do you think it happened? Why do you think we lost our second amendment rights sans registration and no more AR-15's?

Do you think it might have anything to do with the coup cucks klan just maybe? The failed insurrection and the threat of heavily armed violence at every state capitol and the federal? Plans on parler and social media to form a perimiter around the Capitol building and kill all dems leaving the republicans to sieze the gov? Do you think maybe, much like the first amendment, that with the 2nd we have the paradox of tolerance here just as much?

More than a thousand national gaurd posted up at the Capitol today. Joint chiefs of staff had to issue a public memo last night. If the gun grabs come, I wouldn't be surprised at this point. Certainly not if they come for AR-15's and the like - what do people need those for anyway?

In case 30-50 'wild hogs' start chimping out and people need to 'protect their property from antifa', or in case people think they are gonna 'rise up' and do what they just tried to do. Hm. Funny that huh? Like it or not it seems rather justified from the fed's point of view at this point. In any case, if its any consolation - if the coup cucks klan had succeeded our second amendment rights would have been restricted afterwards anyway. You don't have a coup by force without following it up to make sure someone else can't do it to you. Either way... letting the attack happen was the lynchpin here. GG to everyone who enabled it.

ofc nobody is going to go door to door confiscating firearms

what they want to do is ban the possession of it

and if you think it will be "grandfathered in", maybe it will be

but i wouldnt put it past them to outright ban it and make it a felony to own an AR-15

much like that is already done in other states right now

I don't know. I don't have one and I don't quite care for them.
I still think the point stands that it would seem like the firearms are being made illegal retroactively, and that will obviously criminalize the owners of said firearms. That seems to conflict with the notion of "the fed is not going to manufacture millions of criminals".

lol I'm using that one.

But yeah, the war on drugs couldn't even grab up anything close to all the weed. I don't know why people think a "gun grab" of similar size or scope is even possible.

In a perverse way, I think they need to believe that a total gun grab is always just around the corner because it's a nightmare scenario that keeps them angry and motivated. People have always loved looking forward to the apocalypse in order to have purpose.

it's happend in other countries such as australia

the ATF harasses people on a daily basis for having a barrel or stock that isn't fit to their standards

I think they're entire argument is not that it's impossible for them to pass a law, but as it currently stands it's almost impossible to commit to a door to door confiscation effort.

I don't necessarily disagree, but there can be methods to make that more possible if the legislator cares to do so. But there is also the fact that they don't need to do door to door confiscation. Them making it illegal to own is enough to essentially stifle any good person from being able to use their weapons like they desire.

They are basically saying this >>472335
Saying that "its fine" because they arnt actually going to ban you from owning it, they are just going to make it prohibitively expensive, outlaw any new ones from being manufactured, and making huge felony penalties if you are caught with one that isnt registered with a paid tax stamp, like they did with machine guns, and somehow they think that should put everyone at ease haha.

Idk, maybe they are rich, so they just dont understand why paying hundreds of dollars on each individual firearm and magazine a year might be a thing people dont want and effectively be a ban?

I'm saying any law that caters to the morality of a specific sect of people that all have religious reasons for wanting it shouldn't be on the ballot in the first place.

If you can't explain why a law should be in place without using morality as a reason, it should immediately be rejected as a bill.

90% of our government is religious in some fashion, and I don't just mean causally. That is not good for a government to claims to respect separation of church and state. This isn't coincidental either. It's not just that we just happen to keep electing strongly religious officials. I would argue that a lot of shai laws would be ruled unconstitutional - and that would probably be the same for a number of religions. I'm not making an argument for a theocratic state; I'm saying that it's obvious that people are going to vote for what they consider right and wrong, and a huge portion of their notions of right and wrong come from their moral compass. Toybox is basically saying that those people's votes are borderline unconstitutional from my understanding.

Perhaps, im just saying that if you are going to make that argument, you have to accept that you might have to accept being governed under the morality of a religion that clashes with yours.

I think what toybox is saying, is social laws that are based on a "morality" of a religion like outlawing gay relationships should never be on the table in the first place. Like, what other reason is there to justify such a law aside from religion?

So if a you get arrested in a muslim town because your a woman and wearing shorts, you have to be okay with that, because its basically the same thing, its outlawing something based on "morality" that is based on religion, and you shouldnt be so indecent.

>you mean the same judges that overturned these laws

They only overturned them because there was enough pressure put on them to force them to have to actually look at these laws. They were forced to admit these laws had no grounding because enough people were fed up with the pandering. This is the fight we are in right now, and the Right is trying very hard to fight back and shut it down.

The assault on the Capitol, the push to "retake America" as they put it. This is nothing more than a push to reinstate the values of the church and overturn the progress we have made in breaking free of it's oppression.

See, I def agree with this. As a christian myself, I have a lot of moral / opinions that a lot wouldn't agree with unless they were religious as well but I believe in separation of church & state that the whole debates of gay marriage / banning it isn't the right thing to do.
You're right. If people started making laws where I can't worship on Saturday, only Sunday.. I wouldn't like that because FREEDUMS in america and separation of religion.
It should def not be a parting factor when deciding these things.

Values don't necessarily mean Religious Values. I could be referring to American Values, or the laws might be written for enshrining values like liberty.

>>472480
We actually have very vague disorderly conduct laws and indecent exposure laws for the same reason.

Also Gay Marriage might be outlawed for reasons outside of pure religious moral reasoning. For example, if you live in a society that only deems a marriage valuable to the community if there is an expectation of childbearing and rearing. Christianity or any other major religion need not be involved there. IMO

>So if a you get arrested in a muslim town because your a woman and wearing shorts, you have to be okay with that, because its basically the same thing, its outlawing something based on "morality" that is based on religion, and you shouldnt be so indecent.

Mikie, the church craves power and control. They always have. That is why they exist. They want to control everyone and everything. If they don't have control people will find alternatives to them, and that well will dry up and they don't want that to happen.

This is hilariously another code word used by religious groups.

I am skeptical of ANYTHING that uses the words "Traditional", "American", "National", "Family" or "Moral" in its name. These are words used by religious groups to trick the secular portion of the country to play along with it's games.

This is why CA is demonized by most right wing groups and people. It's the biggest threat to the Church. We stand as one of the last bastions against it, and even here it's corruption runs deep.

The idea that one would actually stand in front of God and defy him is ludicrous when simple things like a dog will make them fear for their lives.

If you were to stand in front of God you would not be defiant, you'd have to be insane, which you're not.

>So the fact that there are any Christian influences makes it almost unlivable for you? Just wondering.

It's not that there are influences. I don't mind seeing churches. I don't mind people practicing their religions on their own. I don't mind seeing bibles in book stores. I don't mind knowing there are radio stations playing gospel music.

What I mind is going into a court of law and seeing a Bible on the judge's podium. I mind being told that if I am to go on the stand I have to say "so help me God." I mind seeing public servants talk about people like me like we are a disease that is 'ruining America'. I mind seeing a public servant who lists their devotion to God over their devotion to their country.

If that is your priority, that doesn't bother me. What bothers me is that they decided to work for the government. It's their JOB to take their service to their country above all else, including their God. If they can't do that, they are not fit for that office. Period.

Thats well and good if you have the means with which to quit your job sell your home and just move somewhere else, or you can sustain a long court battle.

Again, you are taking this very personally and i have to ask you again not to, im just arguing the logic you used that its okay because the moral justification is based on the religion, not technically the law itself. This is an easy example of where the logic would come back to bite you, unless you are wealthy and can just move and get a new job every time a law against you is made like what was suggested.
I mean, is that really how a country should run? You have to uproot your whole life every time you become a minority in the area you inhabit? I feel like thats fundamentally opposed to your view on "transplants".

Edit
I do find it strange that logic is apparently sound IRL where the only option to escape is suicide in a lot of cases haha, but on the internet, all things must be allowed all the time because going to a new website, which takes no effort or money, is asking too much haha.

I will force his hand. I will not follow it. I don't plan to destroy God if he exists. That's impossible. He will have to destroy me, and in doing so, he will bend to my will, not me to his.

I think her argument is, and my argument is, that a social law needs to be based on something more tangible than just "my morals". You should be able to prove how 2 dudes getting married or a woman wearing shorts infringes on your rights before you can restrict theirs. That way, its not even a question of which mob rule religious beliefs are at the heart of our moral compass when making laws, its just simply a provable problem that is being solved, and the basis of the law is solving that tangible problem, rather than subjective religious based moral ideology.

You don't need to swear on a religious text. I think you can swear on a law book or constitution or something. Or maybe just swear an oath with no book present, I dunno. Maybe that depends on what for.

I think most people just assume a Bible will be used and most people don't object so usually it's not a big issue, but I doubt any court is going to be offended if you say no to it.

No. It would allow them to prey before their case or have a religious text on them during the hearing. It should NOT be provided by the court nor used in any functional capacity by the court. You have the freedom to express and practice your religion. You do not have the "freedom" for the state to provide you with the resources you need to practice it. That is not their job.

I think it has to do with the fact that in the past being tried for a crime included religion as much as the state, and it's just a tradition that carried over. It's harmless.

>It should NOT be provided by the court
I think people can bring their own, but that just seems to be complicated things for no benefit

>nor used in any functional capacity by the court.

The religious portion isn't part of the function of the oath though. You can take the oath with zero books around, as far as I'm aware.

The only thing this would do would prevent people from having an optional religious book near them if they want to.

To you.

I see it as no different than my state department hanging a Nazi flag in it's halls.

They can bring one.

The only reason the state should be allowed to provide a religious book to someone is if they are not permitted to bring any personal items into the courtroom with them. In that case, I can see it being provided for them.

Again, to you. I am not exaggerating.
I mean no offense to you but I view all symbols of religion, though to be fair, moreso christian because that is what I've been exposed to the most, as oppressive symbols that denote a belief system that has historically wanted to eliminate people like me.

So no. It is not an exaggeration at all.

That is not to say I view all Christians as Nazis. I judge each individual on their personal merits, not on what they believe. The symbolism itself though is something I do not like to view or have in my presence if it doesn't need to be.

However I'm respectful of other people's beliefs even if I am against the belief itself. I would never throw a fit if I went to someone's house and they had a Bible on the coffee table or a crucifix on the wall. I have family that have both and they have every right to have anything in their home they wish.

However if I was given either as a gift, I would either give them away or get rid of them as I do not want them around me.

I've gone so far as to throw away a perfectly good blanket because it was mislabeled and instead of having pictures of cats on it, it had a depiction of the virgin mary. I refuse to have such symbolism in my own home.

You think I am being pedantic but I am not.

The fact that you're rallying against a tradition that has no impact on the actual process, is not enshrined in law - to the best of my knowledge, and is purposefully carried out in a way to not actively disenfranchise anyone by comparing it to Nazism is a bit exaggerated.

I'm not faulting you for feeling how you feel towards religion. Go on ahead it doesn't harm me. This process though is painless to everyone involved and is actually practiced in a way to respect all people. Not to attack you.

>Her argument was that because people used their morals when voting that is injecting religion in government, and that shouldn't be tolerated. She said that the word "morals" is a Christian Code Word.
Well, those 2 points i didnt catch i suppose, which is why im happy i covered my ass when saying "i cant speak for toy, but," haha.
She can get as carried away with her hatred for religion as religious people can get with their love of it sometimes.

Regardless, my argument about your logic i still stand by, you can line out any references to toybox if it helps.

Like you have to admit that turning the weapon used to murder your star player into a holy symbol is a really weird flex.

Also, I was saying your mockery of someone's personal trauma was classy in a sarcastic manner.

Theologically speaking the crucifixion is the most important point in the whole story, it's what made the reconciliation of man to God possible and the foundation of the new covenant. The cross is just a symbol of that sacrifice and what it was made for.

I knew what you meant, I was petending to be dense.
