Read up on what the Tolkien family did to Peter Jackson and Warner Brothers? Supposedly they tried to screw them over, they sued the shit out of them and won. They are already mad over how LOTR didn't have the philosophical points of the books, the hobbit was the final straw for them. Part of the deal with Amazon is they may not make reference to damn near anything from the movies and the books, they're sick of having Tolkiens work butchered. The real gem is they banned Jackson and I think pretty much anyone from ever making a film adaption of the Simarillion. As a fan of the books, it pleases me to know that there are still people out there who won't sell out, sadly I don't see many folks like that in the USA anymore.
Anyway, that's why I still have my doubts, woke politics and how people are would make producing that here stateside difficult I think.
