Because when you drop a cold turkey in hot oil, the oil tends to expand rapidly and if you're not careful it will overflow and then set your garage on fire, which will then set your house on fire.

People have been setting their houses on fire this way every thanksgiving since deep frying turkeys became a thing and they still never learn.

It can't be cold or frozen.

Secondly, you always want to set up the fryer at least 10-20 feet away from anything flamable, like grass, wood, or whatever. In a large driveway or parking lot type area is okay, just in case it does this.

This is caused by the water inside the turkey hitting the oil. Deep frying a turkey is a bit different than deep frying stuff like fries or chicken pieces because it's so much larger, so the water content is higher. Shit like this mostly happens when people put frozen or half frozen turkeys directly into the fryer. You don't want to do that.

Almost all professional chefs and most consistent home cookers prefer gas to electric in like everything I've read for years. It supplies much better control over the temperature and quickness when either heating up or cooling down. Apparently it also functions better with a lot of pans, provides better grilling and searing as well, and gas is cheaper than electric in a lot of states.
This is why whenever you see a higher end home with newer appliances they tend to have gas stove-tops.

The only time I've seen people say that they consistently like induction more is when you're talking to people that live on boats and shit. This way they don't have to worry about propane supply and it's a bit safer to use out in seas.

Goddamn poor people....
Also, induction cooktops are marketed as much more energy efficient than gas or regular electric. Induction cooking heats a cooking vessel by electrical induction, instead of by thermal conduction from a flame, or an electrical heating element, so it's safer in many ways...

Yeah, I admitted that I got induction and electric confused. Still I'm finding people that still prefer gas anyway when I'm looking it up. It seems like a lot of it comes down to preference and style of cooking.

Cooking the food is a relatively small percentage of your carbon footprint; I believe it's like 5%. Going further the way you cook is going to have a more substantial and immediate effect towards reducing the amount of energy used while cooking than switching to a new induction top. Using proper kitchen pots and pans for the meals you're preparing alone with be a significant help towards that goal.

I would enjoy coming to your house at night to "ask for help" and proceed to cause neuromuscular incapacitation by tasing you and transporting you to my vehicle in a milwaukee dolly to inject a sedative in your neck and if you scream... My cellular jammer will jam all bandwidths so your neighbors can't call the police within a particular vicinity
