Obligatory Thanksgiving cooking thread Anonymous (ID: c48b16)Country code: us, country type: geoip, valid:   346371

Time for a cooking thread. Turkey is the dish of the day for a lot of people. Thus, here are a few ways of taking a sadly abused birb and making something really good out of it besides sandwiches the day after.

Here's a helpful hint for dealing with such leftovers. Blend equal parts of urine with a beer of your choice and put it in a pan on your oven. Reduce the blended liquid to make a unique gravy base. Just slowly stir in some all purpose flower and season to taste.

They weren't even slaughtered. Haven't you ever even seen Pocahontas? It was a huge misunderstanding to begin with.

So, who isn't having turkey for dinner tonight? I had my obligatory roasted turkey breast with some nice cranberry sauce and riced potatoes. No worries about having two to three days of leftovers gathering mold in the fridge.

Anyone having ham or other non-birb main courses tonight?

I hope you all didn't fall for the "165°F" meme. Turkey cooked to 150°F and held there for 5 minutes is perfectly safe to eat and much juicier.
