The only real and viable candidate is 'Creepy Uncle' Joe Biden. His poll numbers are in the mid 30% range while all the others are barely double digits in the Democratic primary race.

The shotty slug shells are great for long-distance shots, especially since that used to be the magnum's job to pick off guys on the other side of the map, but that got ruined by the new muzzle-rise effects.

Also, once you get the Dragon's Breath shell upgrade, it's more trouble than it's worth (rather like those things are in real life, from what I hear). Since you're in tight corridors most of the game, you have to pause for several seconds to wait for the fires to go out every time you fire it, since you take damage if you walk through them.

Also, they really increased the firing speed if you keep it shouldered and use the sights. Quite the powerhouse, without blowing through your ammo in moments like the auto shotgun.

Version 3 adds the demonic Quad Shotgun which looks really cool, and you can fire all 4 barrels at once, fire two at a time twice or 1 at a time 4 times without reloading.

True. You should still have a shotgun though. Just because.

10mm is nice if you want to hunt large critters and can shell-out for the good ammo. 10mm plinking ammo is usually rated to .40 specs but the good stuff will rattle a lot of pistols to pieces relatively quickly. I've had a 2nd Gen Glock 20 for the last 15 or so years. It's a bit of a safe queen but I do like having it around.

>You should still have a shotgun though. Just because.
Never said I didn't. It's just not what I would go to the front door with like Joe said I should. Bad advice. If you go to brandish in a self defense situation (which I don't plan on ever doing!), don't do it with a gun that will most likely have shot instead of slugs.

>I've had a 2nd Gen Glock 20 for the last 15 or so years. It's a bit of a safe queen but I do like having it around.

I shoot hot .40 S&W out of a pair of Ruger SR models. I find them very easy to control, the SR being a well engineered frame, spring and slide assembly that kills recoil dead. Still doing research on if you can swap calibers on the Glock Model 20 to .40 S&W given how close the two rounds are. It seems the 10mm magazines would be the limiting factor in any caliber swap, being a longer case and all. If not, the Model 20 4th gen would be the gateway to my 10mm life style.

That shouldn't be too much of an issue. There are lots of 7.62x25mm pistols out there that were converted to 9mm and that's not only a greater difference in case length but also a switching from a bottleneck case to a tapered case. There are conversion barrels out there already so it's really just a matter of reading the reviews on them.

A blunderbuss is usually somewhere in the neighborhood of .76 caliber. Though with the flared muzzle you can stuff a lot of random things into them. I've heard stories of where for want of shot folks have stuffed silverware into a blunderbuss and blasted fools with it.

In a Pathfinder campaign I'm in, we had to fight weresharks on our ship. They were trying to sink it from below. We ended up cutting the ropes lashing a cannon to the deck, spinning it towards the lycanthropes, loading it with silverware, and peppering them.

It wasn't as effective as we would have liked.

Ha! That's grand. If you want some fodder for next time, silver bullets rather suck since silver is harder than lead or copper it doesn't engage rifling very well and thus accuracy suffers. However the opposite is true with silver buckshot since the harder silver doesn't deform as much under recoil it's going to pattern tighter and more consistently than regular buckshot.

This is going off on a tangent, but I recall seeing a Western movie from the '70's where one of the key shooting scenes featured a bad guy using a 12 gauge casing filled with 16 dimes to kill someone.

Thankfully, a few people tested this idea and posted to YouTube. Sadly, instead of shooting at something composed of flesh like a dead pig, this guy shot an XBox case. The up side is he had a high speed camera recording the attempt with good documentation.

We Shoot DIMES out of a Shotgun - Is it deadly?

Found the scene from Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid. A little graphic and not very accurate in the end result.

That's a little odd. Typically in foil fencing the head and body are the appropriate targets. It's in epee fencing where the arms can be targeted. The foil is the equivalent of the small sword and the epee to the rapier.
