This whole situation is so fucked up. Even Trump was like "we will try to make a deal", after Pompeo coaxed him to back out of the Iran deal in the first place, most likely just because it was done by Obama. Fucking warmongerers.

Why do you jackasses always go to conspiracy theory when there's a perfectly logical chain of actions to weapon contractors and oil companies making a quick buck out of human life?

To be fair, the Democrats (at least the establishment ones) have a shitty track record of going and picking pointless fights overseas as well. This is part of why leftists say there is no left wing US party.

>""""THE"""" jews

Daily reminder that Israel is an ashkenazi-first ethnostate and plenty of brown jews there feel just as cucked as a lot of the arab semites by their government's stances.
And you really don't care what israel does to the lives of muslims if you also resist importing them. Israel's sins aren't that much greater than those of western countries. It's just that unlike you, Israelis have to deal with the reality of being surrounded by salient hostiles on a daily basis. At least they can claim the honor of doing what they do for survival, while your politics are mainly chosen in the name of comfort.

But yeah, from a pragmatic standpoint, you're right, fuck israel. They're not our problem.

I have said that multiple times on this forum. Neolib democrats are just a different flavor of deceit. They do it discretely while republicans are just open about it.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say it's probably because many of those weapons contractors and oil companies are also owned by Jews.

Like I don't believe there's a grand Jewish conspiracy but it is a fact they are highly over-represented in industry, finance and politics and that is going to lead to some resentment at least some of which is fairly earned.

Well if it's not the nuclear thing they're probably trying to bypass trade sanctions or something. Hard to tell really.

Thanks.

Maybe that was the plan from the start?

Honestly, its hard to speculate on military stuff because theres just so much we dont/cant know.

Im not going to say whats right and whats wrong here because goepolitics isnt quite my thing, but i do know iran has said they want to nuke people before, so if they dont want a narritive of danger crafted around them, they should cut that out.
The middle east is a cluster fuck, and yes, its largely the US and Russias fault i know that.

I don't understand why they'd start enriching uranium for power when they have all that oil laying around that they can't sell..

Hey, thats not a bad question tbh.

Edit:
Do they have the means to produce it, and do they buy it from the private sector?
I assume power is owned by the state, if the state is the one enriching for energy.

Does it really matter that much? I mean. If they weren't already enriching uranium on a large scale then I think it's safe to assume that they do not currently depend on it for power, so it just seems kinda bizarre that the state strategy would be to start importing an expensive and notoriously difficult it import material that cannot be used as is and requires technology and infrastructure that is notoriously difficult to develop due to both engineering and bureaucratic hurdles to produce something that they can make with stuff that they have a lot of and already have the infrastructure in place to use.

Because nuclear is best. There centrifuge tech is rather limited and also rather prone to being sabotaged by the CIA and Mossad but even so it's not a good idea to put all your eggs in one basket.

Well, it matters to your original question.
Im not exactly sure how iran operates, is the oil owned by the state or by private citizens?

If its owned by the state then yeah, if its owned privately then it could just be sitting in a wearhouse unused.

Is the state trying to free itself from oil dependency by developing its own in house energy alternative?

The answer is probably no, but you would have to find out to have an answer to
>why they'd start enriching uranium for power when they have all that oil laying around that they can't sell..

My question would be, why arnt they using solar as they have quite a damn good source.

Im also pretty bored haha.

>Maybe that was the plan from the start?
Well yeah, obviously. The Iran deal was working.

>Im not going to say whats right and whats wrong here

Do you also have trouble deciding if it's okay to beat people up to take their money?

>want to nuke people before

Proposterous. Iran has been searched so many times and cooperated fully with IAEA officials, and never did they find anything pointing to weapon development. Since 2003 they've insisted their nuclear technology is for peaceful reasons.

>>282275
It's better, research, more efficiency, etc. Also, there's no idea how long they'll be effected so having a back up plan seems nice. Also, why not take the opportunity now that you aren't legally bounded? There's a multitude of reasons you can think of.
