I enjoyed it so much I would give anything to relive it and have gone out of my way to do exactly that, there are aspects of my modern day life where I attempt to replicate the past, for example
I have a Block Buster clamshell case I keep a Famicom multi cart in containing every NES game I ever rented,
I had a thread simulating T.V. From the early 90's until Mikie saged it,
I buy Kool-Aid occasionally because of the nostalgic memories it brings back, I never liked the taste but there was a time it was all we had so I drink it to bring back those memories,
I go on walks at night to simulate the days I wondered out of the house without anyone knowing,
I smoke pipe tobacco because the smell reminds me of my grandfather who never once got angry with me even when I fucked up horribly,
I carry a fake Time Turner around with me so that I can pretend I've gone back to 1993,
There's a guy I buy and sell used retro games to and from and I always meet him in front of a salon called "Great Clips" because the name sounds like it could pass for a video rental store, so in my fantasy I'm going there to return the games I rented and now I'm renting some more.
I remember being told as a kid to enjoy my childhood as much as I could because it won't last forever and I take comfort in the fact that I took those words seriously and enjoyed every minute of it as much as I could.
