I'm sorry, but (successful) entertainment inherently has a demand for viewership, which is itself dependent on appealing to the emotions of an audience, and this applies even when it is referring to more educational or abstract matters. This already makes it unreliable for doling out the truth of this or that.

Any market will move around as it does based on demand, not necessarily correct information, and the demand here is often for justification rather than unbiased education, as the former will tend to feel far better than the latter.
