If a person goes outside past curfew to rob a store you can't say that was "BLM-inspired" unless you can prove it was.
If a person went out to the Capitol to break into the building in the name of defending Donald Trump and overturning a Presidental election
, then yes, the inspiration is far more obvious.
The first is a crime that happened to occur while the city was under curfew. The second has a clear political motive.
By your logic, any crime a person happens to commit is a "BLM crime" so long as the city just had a recent protest and has been placed under curfew. If I jaywalk during curfew, then it's not just jaywalking. It's super duper hyper evil BLM jaywalking!
This isn't the same as a person who explicitly says, "Yeah, I'm here with a bunch of other people storming this building for Trump." They're both crimes and both will be punished, but one happened with clear political intention.
