Not really, no. Maybe Kraken exist but they could just be big squids. If cryptids exist then certainly under the sea.

When i was a kid, Giant Squids were considered on the line of being Cryptid... now im pretty sure rich people in Japan eat them for dinner.
So, i keep an open mind about it.

While obviously the big foot footage was a hoax, i dont see why something similar couldn't exist seeing because monke and ape and all that, just extremely remote. And yes Krakens may be possible, when you consider how much of the ocean is still unexplored. Not talking 3x a pirate ship size like in myth but preddy big.

Cthulu definitely a real tho, i seen him , his madness drove me to come back to this site.

Bigfoot seems like the only one that's genuinely plausible. Yeah it could be just some dude in a gorilla costume but it's not totally unbelievable.

Aside that, shit like Mothman or the Jersey Devil just makes me go "that's neat".

I like how you can catch a Tsuchinoko in Snake Eater. And your entire support team will be like "we didn't even think that thing was real! you have to bring it back alive for scientific discovery!"

But then you also just have the option of just plain eating it, like any other animal you can catch in the game lol

AnonymousCountry code: ponychan.png, country type: customflag, valid: 1499

>>1496
I can't remember if this was the case, but you had to keep the Tsuchinoko alive all the way up to The Boss if you wanted to get the Markhor rank.

First time I got it, I just ate it thinking it was a snake like the others haha

For me it was a pain in the ass because the first I heard it was that you had to find it during the Boss's fight. I was so annoyed when I found out it was a lot earlier.

That may quell his incautious rage for a moment, long enough to attempt a get away, but you shouldnt count on it.
Remember, always travel in pairs, you dont need to outrun the yetti, you just need to outrun the person next to you.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bili_ape

Keep in mind this unique speicies of ape has existed for thousands of years yet they were only discovered in 1996, as they live far away from people, are very shy and avoid people.

So who knows what else is out there that we have still yet to find..

The working DeadCountry code: ponychan.png, country type: customflag, valid: 1645

I used to be a big believer in almost all of them. But I've gotten to be a bit more cynical in my older years. I honestly can't see how big foot could exist when so many people are dedicated to finding him and yet still have found nothing. And yet sightings for him are all over the map. Jersey Devil, Nessy, the ones that only show up in a specific area are also a few I've lost belief in.

Then you got ones in harder to explore areas like Windigo and Skin Walkers. Those I can see existing.

But sea based ones? Yeah, i still believe in those. All that water and we haven't explored even the smallest percent of it? Yeah I'd believe Cthulu or something is lurking down there.

Then again I feel behind every myth is a hint of truth. Ya know like those mammoth skulls people think ancient people made to be Cyclopses...Cyclopsi? Either way I think there's things on this planet we were never ment to understand. Probably best to keep it that way.
