>>1614Yeah I pretty much agree with you, there's literally no reason to play the objective in most CoD games when capping a flag barely gets you more points than one kill. Even moreso with Cold War's new system of having "streaks" never reset on death. There's literally no incentive to play the objective other than to strategically extend the time of the match...so everyone can get more kills (ex. constantly rotating spawns in Domination so one side never has more than two flags capped at the same time).
However, all these big CoDtubers like Blame Truth, Drift0r, Xclusive Ace, etc. are acting like if they removed SBMM suddenly all their matches would be awesome, as if they never got stomped in earlier CoD games without it.
Everyone gets pubstomped sometimes in CoD, unless you are literally like a top 0.1% player. If matchmaking favored connection and connection only, you would still occasionally get paired up against stacks or just players who are way fucking better than you BECAUSE they have a similar connection to you.
The big CoDtubers and the Reddit community are spreading this myth that if SBMM was removed suddenly they would never have a bad game or something and they'd just be the rightful CoD Gods that they supposedly all are which is literally impossible.
I
like SBMM in some other games, like Gears Of War for example, because in Gears Of War (at least the newer ones) you can actually see your exact skill ranking, how much it will take to go up, and all that stuff that CoD lacks entirely. If I go from Bronze to Silver or Silver to Gold in Gears 5 because I was actually doing really well in most of my matches, there's a real sense of accomplishment. In CoD everything is on a match by match basis, there's no working towards something greater, everyone is just pining for the one great match of each session where they drop a bunch of the highest killstreaks and get a 4.0 k/d with 50+ kills or w/e.
