I haven't read this thread almost at all, so I might touch upon things already mentioned and discussed. I did make a post earlier (
>>2515812 ) about the episode, but I also wanted to make a write-up like the ones I've done before. I might mention same things I did there or just copy-paste some parts. Oh, and I wasn't kidding about the mega-post... First some things that I noticed during the episode and after that more in-depth stuff. So, let's just jump in, then.
Part 1:
*Mane 6 spending time together like friends do! In this case having a picnic. I like!
*I liked Spike's "epic journey" to Twilight. Sort of... cute? Liked it anyways.
*Either Pinkie is extremely light, the cake is extremely dense or Pinkie is just breaking physics again. She jumped on that cake and just left a very shallow hoofprint on it.
*Rarity's reaction to getting to design the dresses. Both funny and not at the same time.
*How do you spell Cadence's full name again? Miamori Cadenza? Mi Amore Cadenza? Something else?
*Hmm. Did everypony already know Twi had a brother or were they just not surprised about it?
*At first when I saw the shield around Canterlot in the stream I wasn't sure I was seeing right. I had been reading Fallout: Equestria the last few days and seeing the shield around Canterlot was... interesting to say the least. Especially when I wasn't sure if I had just imagined it.
*Twi made a horse sound!
*Big Brother Best Friend Forever, huh? Sounds like something Twi would come up with all right.
*Speaking of which, a Twi song! B.B.B.F.F. I think it was called. Filly Twi is always cute! A good-ish song. Not excellent, not bad by all means. Did a good job introducing us to Shining Armour.
*PFFs, meaning Pony Friends Forever? Really AJ? Twilight's looking at AJ like she agrees with me...
*Oh Spike, it's good to know the bachelor party is in good hands.
*Umm, what? The guards had their lances crossed in front of a
train? And put them back down when the train had passed. I doubt they'd do much good if a train wanted to get through... Oh, and apparently the guards had a spell that let others pass through the shield force field thingie.
*That's a lot of guards!
*Pinkie sneezes confetti! Made me smile.
*Seems like the guards that let Twilight through near the train recognized her.
*Celestia is a spy!
*The shield spell is made up of rectangles of some sort? It's not just one continuous magic bubble?
*More filly Twi! She had quite a room to herself. Apparently she came from a family that was quite well off. Look at that bed and all! Also, Smartypants with her notebook and quill! She seems a little smaller than she was in Lesson Zero. Oh, and young Cadence is cute, too!
*A secret handshake of sorts? Cute.
*Sibsy's pony, yay. Wild Fire, I think.
*Cadence's talent is... Love? Hmm, I wonder where Twilight got the "Want it, need it" -spell from...
*"How many unicorns can just spread love wherever they go? I know of only one." I could say this might be a leftover from when Cadence wasn't an alicorn. It feels weird to me to call an alicorn an unicorn. I know, I know, alicorn isn't an official term, they might as well be winged unicorns or something and that would be Twilight just shortening it. It was still something I noticed.
*Oh, and it seems Cadence doesn't recognize Twi. And she gave her a mean look! Oh dear, what does this mean?
*An ice sculpture? Are they going to put it somewhere and everypony can go lick it when they get thirsty or something? That sounds a bit... eww. Applejack was in charge of the food, not decoration, so who knows.
*D'aww, Twi can't be grumpy when she's tasting AJ's food.
*Spike playing with dolls, heh.
*Please, call me
Luna Princess How-do-you-spell-it Cadenza.
*Celestia is still a spy. And Rares had the same room she had in Sweet and Elite, it seems.
*Lyra and Colgate had lines! I didn't even realize it the first time through...
*Also, all three bridesmaids were ponies Twilight encountered in the beginning of the very first episode in Canterlot when she was on her way to the library tower. Coincidence?
*How is Pinkie shaking the dice between her hooves?
*Luna! Where did you come from?
*Flutters just happened to have that bird with her. Maybe she was going to give him private lessons. He was pretty bad.
*Again, Spike with his dolls. Or cake decorations, as it seems. Pinkie, too.
*And it's Lesson Zero all over again. Though this time the others have even more reason to act the way they do. And Twilight didn't go totally insane in the end.
*Headache. Because of the shield force field thingie or from disagreeing with "Cadence"? his head apparently does hurt in situations where he isn't directly disagreeing with her, so it's not quite clear what she's doing. Was she actually healing the headaches at some point or something?
*Spike and the dolls, again.
*Twilight's being a bit rude. Way to make everypony dislike you.
*And here is Chrysalis' big(gest) mistake; she revealed herself to Twilight by sending her to the caverns. Why are the evil guys always stupid? Oh, and in case the viewer wasn't sure whether she was evil or not it's now revealed. Green. Flames. Maleficent. 'nuff said.
