I figured one of the more tech minded mods would have got here by now and answered this with a degree of certainty, but since they haven't:

"Maybe."

Should be relatively simple since it's just the site minus the CSS page as far as i'm aware.

At least they're somewhat self-aware of how awful they are, but that's always gonna be the issue when you're locked to just one tv show as a topic that doesn't even have new episodes at the moment. I'd almost prefer the nazi mods here, except I don't even care about ponies anymore.

You know why it's doing that? It's because the site was last updated via official Kusaba X at version 9.1, and at the time, their home site actually was kusabax.org. But since then, they have changed their homepage to kusabax.cultnet.net instead. I guess the mods just haven't gotten around to it or something. It should be easy to fix.

It's not really that big of a deal, and I'm not sure if anypony else has mentioned it yet, but the "Powered by Kusaba X" link down at the bottom of the page leads to an unclaimed domain pagefiller.

Again, not really that important, just thought you guys should know.

The more you get things like: http://www.ponychan.net/chan/chat/res/40743145.html#40743231

It's hard to tell the difference between here and 4chan when you can just enter a thread and somepony's posting about raping children, and that doesn't get banned.

Allowing something is far more positive on a general basis than disallowing it, as banning somepony or removing their post can inject spite and anger. However, if we allow whatever when it comes to images, that would drive away people who are not interested in these kinds of images and this kind of content - too much of it would heavily change the way our culture works. So the line has to be drawn on stuff like porn or gore to stop it from becoming prevalent and making people uncomfortable. If I'm browsing /oat/, I don't want to go through four porn dump threads, for example - I'd downright leave the site. We have the bar set a little higher though than just "no severed heads and no visible sex" to try and maintain ourselves as safe as possible, but we're by no means a SFW site, as a lot of things such as fetish threads and "plot threads" do come and go. We do try though -- pleasing everybody isn't easy, and sometimes no matter how hard we try, we won't end up pleasing absolutely everybody. The core concept here is that we're about talking - discussion, planning, chatting, the list goes on. If people want porn or gore, they have plenty of sites with search engines dedicated to finding just what they need.

Most forums can make such "absurd" policies very much a reality as images are largely irrelevant, but as an imageboard the uploading of images is so prevalent and so basic that we have to raise the bar much higher than that of most websites, as the rules around it have to be very loose because it's so undefined.
