Well, I had my reasons to post it on both boards.
Mostly, because traffic on either boards is too slow at times to make a satisfying amount of votes. And it's nice to see input from /oat/ and /show/ perspective at the same time.

Egh, fine, I'll see how it turns out just on /oat/.
But it's gonna get cancelled if a certain quota of votes can no longer be met.

Eh, I was enjoying seeing it on /show/. More people see it that way.

My main concern would be that the audience is reduced greatly (not an issue if /show/ is interested enough to go to /oat/)
and /show/ was good at introducing me to stuff i did not yet know of the characters. It kind of fits the /show/ theme, since in order to vote well, you can use your knowledge of where what character featured and the likes.
It's not a serious discussion on which character is better though. But eh, it's in between seasons, so there might be a leeway somewhere.

I see no problem with having it on both boards. It is characters from the /show/, right?

It did provoke actual discussion of the show and the characters at times, and it was fun to have a cross-board thread, and see how /show/ and /oat/ responded to the same thing.

Might not be the most cerebral /show/ thread ever, but it's weird that this doesn't qualify for /show/ when the three weekly "What's the best episode to show my friend" threads do.

I don't know who moved the thread from /show/ to /oat/, but I feel that it's perfectly fine to have two threads on both the boards - /show/ can have different discussion and reasoning for voting than /oat/, like you said. And it's related to characters from the show...

Yeah, I don't see why it was moved. I don't know who moved it either. I'll bring this up with the other mods, you have permission from me to have two threads on both /show/ and /oat/. You can make a new thread, or just redirect me to the /show/ thread that was moved to /oat/ so I can move it back.

Should be... On more than one occasion I've made the same/similar threads on /show/-/oat/ because they get taken in different directions and progress differently and people enjoy them in different ways. The mods seem to have no objection; perhaps it was a mistake and they didn't realize you had them in each. Go for it!
