Okay, so I recently found this game that's still in Alpha.

http://www.artemis.eochu.com/

I own it, and it's fun as hell, but it's really impossible to play it by yourself.

The game still has a few glitches, but other then that it plays well and has some cool things.

The rolls of people aboard the ship are.

>MAIN SCREEN

This is what the server host picks, the don't have any controls over the ship, but they are the captain. It is their job to listen to the advice of each of their crew mates to determine a coarse of action.

>HELMSMAN

This is the Pilot, they control the speed (impluse) and Warp or Jump core (whichever the ship has) The take orders from the Captain based on baring and what speed to travel at.

>WEAPONS OFFICER
They control The phaser system (manual or auto) and the load out of the launcher tubes. and when to put the shields up. They generaly also control what appears on the captains screen at request (Physical views of the ship and it's surrounding and our basic scanners)

>SCIENCE OFFICER

They are the ones with the scanner system who informs the captain of incoming enemies and also informs the Weapons officer what frequency to set their phasers to (A-E) in order to better penetrate the enemy shields

COMMS OFFICER

The detect incoming missions from space stations and also can ask for defense from other ship in the quadrant you are currently operating in.

They can also ask the enemy ship to surrender at which point it becomes a non hostile.

ENGINEERING OFFICER

This is a tricky one.

You control power flow for the entire ship, so evverything starts at 100% power, but you can crank it up to 300%

When you put anything over the 100% mark it runs the risk of over heating, unless you are pulling the energy from elsewhere (leaving some system or another down)

You are also in control of DAMCOM (Damage Control) teams who will keep systems from over heating or repair broken ones.

I currently lack people to play this with on a regular basis, so updates on it will be sparse.

Once I have acquired a full crew I will begin a let's play of the game.

The audiance will be allowed to decide the difficulty (1-11) the mission type, what ship we use, and what the terrain looks like.

If we get more then the six people required we can have more then one ship per session, but I will be unable to host due to shitty internet quality.

As it stands I will be acting Captain unless somepony else decides they want the job of hosting the server and being Captain.

At which point I will Take Weapons Officer as my position.




NOTE
This game is playable with only a captain Helmsman and third member if the third member is playing more then one thing (weapons is a must)

My first time playing I was weapons officer comms and science, it is doable, but not easy.
