So, I checked the thread directory, and I don't think making this request thread is out of the question.

I need a quick doodle of a cutie mark for a custom plush I'm giving to a friend. The embroidery machine can use vectors to create said mark, but I don't know anyone who can draw the mark in vector.

If you are willing, can you draw OR trace a thing of art in vector? If you can trace it, I'll try to give you said mark ASAP so the file can be converted for the machine's use. If you're willing to do it original, here is the info:

It's a duck and a writing pad. Much like picture you see here.

Thanks very much! I'll get an artist to make that cutie mark to trace as soon as possible.

This will be a massive help and make three people's days in one go!

Hey, if you're still around, I just made it quick. If you want anything changed, I can do it.

Ahh, thanks! I just got the one to trace, too. I went ahead and asked the person receive the gift, and they said they'd like this one.

If you can trace this into vector, that would be absolutely awesome. If you have a DA account, I'll make sure to link to it in the credits.

Man, I thought this board moved slower. Third page already in 2 days.

Anyway, tried it, if there's anything needing changing, let me know. :)

I apologize, I think I had the layer with the original pic on, under the vector. This one should be better.

Thanks! It looks good. Having a little trouble getting it to work with the program. Turns out I need to shrink it down for the embroidery digitizing program will read it as 2x2 inches and not 10x10.

However, doing that degrades the quality of the lines to where the program has trouble distinguishing the borders and small details. I then have to go over the lines to clean them up, and lack a pad to do so clearly

If it's possible with your software to keep the line quality unblurred, while sizing it down to closer to 200 pixels, that'd be much appreciated. (Though, just in case, a few incremental sizes might be useful. Like 200, 400, 600.)

I feel like I am asking a lot, but on the other hand, I've literally spent the whole day trying to make it work, so, whatever help would be much appreciated.

Here is a 200x177 pixel image of the vector midwest made. Hopefully this will retain quality enough for you because it was scaled down from a lossless vector. You still wont get the best looking image because 200 pixels is small, but hopefully this is better than what you where getting.

I hope so. I'm going to try to start working with it now.

Bottom line is that I'm still figuring all this out as I go. When the machine was suppose to understand vector software, turned out to be more complicated than that. I've been trying softwares all day and ... Now I'm rambling.

Bottom line, thanks. I'll give this image a shot and come back in a bit to report how it goes.

This actually made the process a little easier, I think. I did more fiddling with the software and I think I finally have the machine doing what I want it to do!

But, I need to get the correct color thread. Will have results soon!

Wanted to drop this preview of how it came out. It'll be attached to that pony's side soon. Thanks very much to all those who helped me get the files all ship shape.

You'll be able to see my finished version soon on my DA

When I post it up, I'll try to name all those who helped.
