this thread really struck home with me, cause i ride bikes too (trail really, though i do some mx) and ive seen first hand people suffer terrible injuries from riding (broken bones, concussions, internal bleeding etc, you name it ive probably seen it happen to somepony or been around when its happened).
what i also found amusing is when somepony does go off badly, everypony at the event, be it another racer or the riders parents, will rush in and do whatever the fuck is necessary to help. even just moving the bike out the way or directing other riders around, and i always feel that threads like these, which takes one persons trajedy and focuses on how this silly little pony tv show helped to remove some of the pain, are strangely like a crash on the track, in a very bittersweet and unusual way.
keep riding, nothing ever keeps a man off the bike :)
